In the first quarter of 2021, the UK's tabletop board game enthusiasts showed a keen interest in digital versions of their favorite games. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a clear view of how five leading apps fared during this period.

Chess - Play and Learn from publisher Chess.com saw a steady revenue trend with a peak in early January at nearly $55K and a gradual decrease to about $35K by the end of March. Downloads started strong at 49K in the last week of December but showed a downward trend, ending at 19K in the last week of March. Weekly active users peaked at nearly 400K in mid-January before experiencing a slight decline to 371K by the quarter's end.

Gametion Global's Ludo King™ had a fluctuating revenue pattern, with a notable spike to $8.5K in early March. The app experienced a steady decline in downloads, from 18K to just over 10K, and saw its weekly active users decrease slightly from 114K to 104K.

Moonfrog's Ludo Club - Dice & Board Game presented a revenue trend that peaked in mid-February at $11K and ended the quarter around $9K. Downloads for the game showed a gradual decline from around 9K to 6.5K, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 56K and slightly decreasing to 59K.

The app simply named Chess from Chess Prince, with a modest revenue generation, saw a decreasing trend in both downloads and weekly active users. Downloads decreased from 15K to 4.6K, and active users from 79K to 45K throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Ludo STAR: Online Dice Game by Gameberry Labs experienced a revenue trend with ups and downs, ending the quarter similar to its start at around $14K. Downloads dipped from approximately 10K to 6.5K, and weekly active users saw a minor decrease from 47K to 45K.
